Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have taught children aged 3 to 8 and I have been in the industry for more than 30 years. I have a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood. Apart from teaching children, I was a Curriculum Specilaist and I trained teachers too.  I have also researched & developed phonics and Maths programmes for preschools. As a teacher, I have worked with children in childcare, kindergarten and enrichment centres. I have taught literacy skills - phonics, reading and early maths to young children and I advocate for learning in a fun & engaging way. I have helped children to develop decoding skills and spelling strategies to read and write. I tailor my lessons to suit the needs of the child and move according to their pace. I have a certification in Jolly Phonics and I have attended workshops on Phonics, Maths and developing reading to upgrade my skills.
