Tutor’s Teaching Background

I'm a graduating student of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA)'s Diploma in Art Teaching, which has equipped me in various pedagogies tailored to teaching Primary School students. My diploma has also trained me in the Arts, which is evident in my teaching style that encourages creativity and imagination in students - skills that are essential to Composition writing.

I'm familiar with the MOE syallabus, as I am sponsored under MOE's TTS scheme - the Teacher Training Sponsorship. My teaching style is one that emphasizes the skills of application, rather than endlessly filling up assessment book after book without an understanding of the subject. I plan out lessons using real-world sources (such as Children's books) and prepare worksheets and questions to teach componenets such as comprehension.

Besides Art, I'm able to teach both the other subjects of Malay and English as well! I graduated St. Joseph's Institution with a O-Level A in English, and Merit in Higher Mother Tongue, and am well versed in the languages. As a Malay individual myself, I'm able to help your child navigate through the language with confidence.
