Tutor’s Teaching Background

I graduated from ACS (Independent) in 2022, having taken both O levels and the IB examinations. In Particular, I scored 7 out of 7 points for HL Chemistry, HL Mathematics, and HL Music. My teaching experiences include teaching a group of 15 P6 students from the Chinese Development Assistance Council, English and Science. I prepared lesson materials such as worksheets and slides about the relevant topics. Because some of the students were special needs, I learnt to be more patient and understanding, especially when explaining new concepts to them. I am a very friendly tutor and even managed to get some quieter students to open up to me. I also mentored a group of students from Queenstown Secondary School in performing in a Pop band. This was part of my HL music curriculum. I taught them how to utilise technology into their music making, such as the use of GarageBand and Ableton. I also taught them the intricacies of playing in a band/ensemble, such as how different instruments interact with each other and their different roles in a band. I presented a holistic view of music making to them that should benefit them in other contexts of music playing too.
